Sow below-ground crops

Sow below-ground crops

Recommended best days for sowing seeds to grow great root crops are

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12th, 13th and 14th April 2017 and
Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th too.

Here in New Zealand, sow seeds before the ground gets cold.

Often planting charts talk generally of sowing these seeds during the week after the full moon – which will be on Tuesday 11th April.

Here in Auckland, New Zealand we will be planting [what we eat – your favorites may be different]:

  • carrots
  • beetroot
  • daikon radish
  • parsnip – ours self-seed these days
  • more garlic!
