‘Oregon Spring’ tomatoes are producing amazingly this year – this week we harvested 6+kg and there are heaps more still on the bush.
They also taste wonderful – real, original flavor and juicy.
I planted it because spring was late here in Auckland and they do well in cooler conditions. It is thriving whereas all other varieties I planted this year are struggling.
Each season is different and I love planting a variety to see what does best this time, and to give us a good harvest.
5 kg more of gorgeous tomatoes [Oregon Spring] picked this week now cooked with spices and become tomato kasundi, a very tasty chutney – wonderfully warming in winter as a reminder of summer.
Wow, another 8 kg of tomatoes in 4 days. And more green ones still on it. Oregon Spring is doing well this year. And tastes like a real tomato too.
Well, after a wonderfully long season this one plant produced 23 kg of tasty fruits – love it!
